High Water Advisements
The Numbers and Royal Gorge sections may be closed over the next few weeks due to high water advisements by the Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area (AHRA), but alternate routes will be run. You do not want to miss high water if you are looking for a thrilling whitewater experience. The Family Float is still available for kids as young as six years old. Mild splashy rapids will provide the perfect beginner whitewater experience.

The Numbers

The Royal Gorge will be running big well into July this year. If you come during mid-June it will likely be closed, but the Three Rocks Section is a formidable alternate route. A high-water advisement is implemented at 3,200 CFS (3,490 CFS as of June 8). This trip departs from River Runners at the Royal Gorge.
