Browns Canyon National Monument

Browns Canyon was designated a national monument on February 19, 2015, giving permanent protection to 21,586 acres of pristine canyon country along the Arkansas River in Central Colorado. The area includes 11,836 acres of the San Isabel National Forest and 9,750 acres of Bureau of Land Management land. It is jointly managed by the Forest Service, BLM and the Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area (AHRA).
