Overnight rafting logistics are easy at River Runners
River Runners provides all rafting equipment, group camping gear, food, water, permits and transportation for overnight rafting trips. Sleeping bags, pads and tents are available for rent. There are no roads or facilities along this section of the Arkansas River in Colorado, so troops assist in rigging and de-rigging the rafts with gear and personal supplies. As meals are prepared by river guides, troops can explore the surrounding wilderness, participate in riverside games or engage in fireside conversation.
Leave No Trace
River Runners guides practice and teach Leave No Trace camping techniques. If you pack it in, pack it out. Portable toilets, privacy tents, hand-washing stations, fire pans and trash disposal are handled by your guides.
Arkansas River Rafting
Challenge class III rapids on the Arkansas River as you paddle under the direction of your professional river guide. Troop members work together as a team to maneuver the raft around natural obstacles found in the Arkansas River. There are some calm sections along the way where your troop can learn about geologic formations, wildlife and history found in the Upper Arkansas River Valley.
