Pro Tips
Rafting Season:
Rafting on Colorado’s Arkansas River is best from mid-May through early September. The early season (mid-May to mid-June) features high water levels and exhilarating rapids. Conditions from late June through July are ideal, offering thrilling yet approachable rapids. By August and early September, water levels gradually decrease, providing slightly calmer conditions and beautiful scenery.
Trips Run Rain or Shine:
Rafting is a water sport—rainy days simply enhance the adventure! We run trips rain or shine, with wet weather often bringing fewer crowds and a unique river experience. Dress appropriately and prepare for a memorable rafting trip regardless of the weather.
Adjustments to Trip Itineraries:
Safety and enjoyment always come first. Occasionally, river conditions require us to modify trip plans without advance notice. Rest assured, any changes will prioritize your safety and comfort, ensuring a wonderful rafting experience.
Our Safety Commitment:
Every Browns Canyon rafting trip is guided by experienced, Swiftwater Rescue-certified guides trained in first aid and CPR. We provide detailed safety briefings, quality rafting gear, and Coast Guard-approved Type V personal flotation devices (PFDs) to ensure your safety and comfort.
Swimming & Comfort Levels: Browns Canyon offers rapids suitable for beginners, families, and children ages 6 and up. Basic swimming skills and comfort in water are recommended, although no advanced swimming ability is necessary.
Liability Waivers:
All rafters age 18 and older must complete and sign a liability waiver before the trip. Participants under 18 require a parent or guardian’s signature. This ensures all participants understand rafting activities and associated risks.
Cancel your trip at least 48 hours in advance for a full refund. If you cancel within 48 hours of your trip, you’ll receive a rain check minus a $10 per-person fee.

She was easily the best guide I've ever rafted with, including my past runs on other rivers in Colorado, Tennessee, South Carolina & Georgia. Literally everyone in the boat had a blast, kids and adults included! We will definitely ask for her again.Posted on Google KelseyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
