This whitewater rafting trip covers 51 miles of the best Arkansas River rafting, starting in Buena Vista Colorado and completing in Canon City, making a circular drive back up to Breckenridge at trips end. There’s no better way to combine rafting on the Arkansas River with great Colorado scenery while driving to your destinations.
Advanced three day overnight trips raft The Numbers and Browns Canyon sections of the Arkansas River near Breckenridge. Day three of the overnight is in Canon City, roughly 60 miles downstream, where trips encounter Bighorn Sheep Canyon and The Royal Gorge. From Canon City, it’s a short 1.5-2 hour drive back North through Southpark, Fairplay and Alma on scenic Highway 9 back to Breckenridge.

Whitewater Rafting Day 1

Be welcomed at River Runners Riverside Resort in Buena Vista at check-in where your personal dry bags will be awaiting you. After packing, you’ll get geared up in all the latest wetsuits. A gear boater will go down ahead of your trip and set-up your remote riverside camp spot in the Canyon. Meanwhile, you and your group will head up stream to paddle through The Numbers where you will experience one of the most continuous class IV whitewater rafting sections in Colorado. After a riverside lunch paddle through The Narrows, which includes the “Miracle Mile” – a full mile of class III whitewater. You should arrive at your camp around 4:00 pm leaving the rest of the evening to swim, fish, jump off rocks, hike, or simply relax by the campfire and tell stories of the day’s adventure. Your guides will take care of dinner and clean up so the only thing you have to do is set up your tent and enjoy your time in this spectacular Colorado canyon.

Whitewater Rafting Day 2

Includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Wake up to the smell of a delicious breakfast and choose from hot coffee, tea, or juice. Pack up camp and enjoy another fabulous day of rafting, exploring class III-IV rapids of Browns Canyon. River Runners will pick you up and have you back at the Riverside Rafting Resort by 4:00 pm. Take advantage of half-price tickets to the Mt. Princeton Hot Springs Resort just 5 minutes away or enjoy a hot shower, fish for trout, play sand volleyball, or throw a game of horseshoes at the River Runners Rafting Resort. A delicious dinner from the Riverside Bar and Grill is included.

Whitewater Rafting Day 3

Includes breakfast and lunch.
A quicker start this morning with a continental breakfast, prior to packing up camp and driving yourselves to our Royal Gorge Rafting Center near Canon City, Colorado. From there, enjoy a full day of rafting through Bighorn Sheep Canyon and the legendary Royal Gorge. Your Three-Day Ultimate Overnight rafting adventure will end around 4:00 pm.
