CDL Driver – Seasonal Position at River Runners Royal Gorge in Cañon City, Colorado (June–August 2026)

River Runners, Colorado’s premier whitewater rafting outfitter, is hiring CDL Drivers for the 2026 summer season at our Royal Gorge Outpost in Cañon City, Colorado. From June through August 2026, River Runners will operate daily rafting trips through the world-famous Royal Gorge and Bighorn Sheep Canyon. We’re seeking friendly, reliable, and safety-conscious drivers to transport guests and rafting equipment between our outpost and various put-in and take-out locations along the Arkansas River.

Position Overview

As a seasonal CDL Driver, you will play a key role in our guest experience. You’ll safely operate company vehicles—including passenger vans, buses, and equipment trucks—on local mountain roads. Additional duties include assisting guides with rafting gear, performing daily vehicle inspections, maintaining a clean fleet, and ensuring all transportation meets company and Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement (P)

• Clean driving record and current medical card

• Must be 21 years of age or older

• Dependable, professional, and friendly demeanor

• Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions

• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

Drug and Alcohol Policy

River Runners strictly adheres to the Department of Transportation (DOT) Drug and Alcohol Testing Program. All drivers are required to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and are subject to random testing throughout the season. Safety is our top priority—for both our staff and our guests.

Schedule and Compensation
This is a seasonal position running June through August 2026, with potential opportunities for extended employment based on business needs and performance. Weekday and weekend shifts are available. Pay is $23 – $26 per hour based on experience and licensing level.
