Do I need to be able to paddle to go white water rafting?

We presume all River Runners guests would like to participate in paddling down the Arkansas River. Please let our river staff members know in advance if possible if you or any member of your group does not want to paddle on your white water rafting trip. We can assign an oar raft to you (where the guide has all control of the raft) or we can position any member not wanting to paddle, on your rafting trip, appropriately in the paddle raft. Children under 10 years are typically not expected to paddle. Family Float rafting trips are an exception. We run all oar boats on our Class II Arkansas River float trips.
