The 24 Hours in Browns Canyon overnight rafting trip is an epic family-friendly adventure at an affordable price. Both beginners and seasoned rafters will enjoy this tour, which includes three meals (dinner, breakfast, lunch), group camping equipment, a personal dry bag, and rafting gear. Tents ($20) and sleeping bag/pad combos ($15) are available for rent through River Runners. This overnight rafting tour can depart any day of the week as long as you have at least six participants. Know before you book
- Choose any date May 15 – August 15 with a minimum of six people
- Experience not required for this overnight rafting trip.
- Participants should be at least 6 years old and 50 pounds (this will vary with water levels).
- All participants should be a swimmer in good physical condition.
- Inherent risk – all participants must sign a waiver – minors under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian read and sign a waiver on their behalf.
Day One – 24 Hour Overnight Rafting
Check in at the River Runners Browns Canyon outpost at 12:30 pm. After everyone has read and signed the waiver, you will meet your guides and pack personal camping gear into dry bags. Your gear will be floated to camp by the gear boater.
Walk down to River Runners’ private launch site for a safety orientation and paddle talk. Trips depart at 2:00 pm.
Paddle into Browns Canyon until you reach camp, where you will set up your tent and enjoy the rest of the evening at a remote campsite under the stars. Fish the Arkansas River, hike up a side canyon for a view of the surrounding 14,000-foot peaks, or relax by the campfire. Your guides will cook dinner and do dishes, while you relax and enjoy an evening with family and friends.
Day Two – 24 Hour Overnight Rafting
Includes breakfast and lunch.
Wake up to coffee, juice and a hot breakfast. Relax or explore, while your guides clean up and pack gear onto rafts. Run a few rapids, stop for lunch, then run some more rapids. Take out of the river at Stone Bridge Recreation Site (13 miles from the put-in) at about 1:00 pm. A 25 minute shuttle back to River Runners concludes the tour.
