Day One – Browns Canyon Overnight Rafting
Includes lunch and dinner.
Arrive at
River Runners Browns Canyon at 8:30 am to check-in, then meet your guide and pack all of your personal camping gear into dry bags. Your gear will be taken to camp by one of our gear boaters.
At 9:30 am shuttle a few miles north of Buena Vista the Railroad Bridge put in north of Buena Vista. After a safety orientation and paddle talk, experience some of Colorado’s most continuous class III whitewater. Stop for a catered riverside lunch prepared by your guide, then continue into Browns Canyon until you reach camp. At camp, you can fish the Arkansas River (you will need your own pole and a license), hike up a side canyon for a view of the surrounding 14,000-foot peaks, or relax by the campfire and tell stories of the day’s adventure. Your guides will cook, clean and share their knowledge of the surrounding area’s history, wildlife and geology. Guests are responsible for their tent set-up.
Day Two – Browns Canyon Overnight Rafting
Includes breakfast and lunch.
The morning will bring the smell of brewing coffee and a hot breakfast. Relax or explore while your guides clean up, tear down the kitchen and load the gear onto the rafts. Guests are responsible for their tent breakdown. Enjoy another day
rafting Browns Canyon with some of the best class III-IV whitewater in Colorado. River Runners will pick you up and have you back at the resort by 4:00 pm.
