Arkansas River Outfitters Association Won the 2013 Innovation in Conservation Award

The Arkansas River Outfitter’s Association (AROA) won the 2013 Palmer Land Trust Innovation in Conservation Award for its Voluntary Flow Management Program. River Runners is proud to be a part of this cooperative effort, which helps keep enough water in Colorado’s Upper Arkansas River for recreational purposes from July 1 – August 15 each summer. Some of the fees added to the cost of your rafting trip helps ensure the success of this and other great programs that benefit the Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area (AHRA).
