Teaching Denver how to raft in Colorado since 1972
A lot has changed through the years, but for River Runners the focus has always been on providing the best possible experience for our guests. This starts with the first phone call and does not end until you drive away from our property.
One thing that has improved through the years is equipment. All River Runners rafts are self-bailing, which means you can concentrate on paddling and enjoying the spectacular Colorado scenery instead of bailing water out with a five gallon bucket. Also, the personal flotation devices and helmets go through more strict tests and have added safety features. In fact helmets were not even required in 1972.
Another thing that has evolved through the years is training. River Runners requires that our entire guide staff complete more than double the amount of training hours and miles required by the Colorado State Parks. This helps prepare them for any possible scenario and ensures they are adequately familiar with the rafting trips they guide. Many of our guides have also completed advanced medical training.
Fun things to do on your family Vacation
In addition to whitewater rafting, both of our locations are near a plethora of outdoor activities. Horseback riding, trail hiking, zip-lining, mountain biking, jeep touring, and mountain climbing are just a few of the recreational opportunities you can enjoy in each area.
