Colorado Whitewater Rafting Season
Colorado's whitewater rafting season is typically May – September. In the spring the mountain snow begins to melt and the Arkansas River begin to swell. These swelling rivers create incredible waves and drops.
The largest rapids tend to be during the last week in May and the first two weeks in June. Throughout the season the water in the rivers warm up and is the perfect way to spend a day of your vacation with family and friends. The river will stay consistent until August 15. Then the water level of the Arkansas River will return to natural flows.
