The Colorado Division of Wildlife
is the state branch for the federal wildlife regulating body. Includes information on hunting, fishing, wildlife viewing, current news, and related regulations. With an estimated 280,000 elk, Colorado is home to the world’s largest elk herd. You will have the opportunity to view Colorado’s’ wildlife on many of RIVER RUNNERS
rafting trips. Guests often see Mule Deer, Bighorn Sheep, hawks and much more.
BLM Bureau Of Land Management
operates under a special use permit from the Bureau of Land Management
. Colorado’s 8.3 million acres of BLM public lands, along with 27 million acres of mineral estate, are concentrated primarily in the western portion of the State. The lands range from alpine tundra, colorful canyons, and mesas in the southwest, to rolling sage-covered hills in the northwest. These public lands play a vital role in providing open space and contribute to Colorado’s quality of life.
