Salida, Colorado Aspen Concert Series
When: Tuesday, July 9th, 7:30pm-9pm
Where: Salida High School auditorium, 26 Jones Avenue, Salida, Colorado
Additional Info: Featuring internationally renowned pianist Joyce Yang who is returning to Salida for her sixth appearance since 2007 with underwriting by Collegiate Peaks Bank.
Time: Concert begins at 7:30 p.m. (pre-concert talk at 6:45).

Thursdays at Six, Free Concert Series
When: Thursdays all summer
Where: Riverside Park, Salida, Colorado
Additional Info: A series of free outdoor concerts throughout the summer. The series highlights area musicians and provides weekly entertainment in downtown Salida for locals and visitors alike.
17th Annual Colorado Brewers Rendezvous
When: Saturday, July 13th 1:00pm – 5:00pm
Where: Riverside Park, Salida, Colorado
Cost: $35 per person.
Info: Over 50+ Colorado breweries will be in attendance for one of the best brewer attended festivals of the year. It’s the 17th Annual Colorado Brewers Rendezvous! There will be plenty of live music, local food vendors and of course a wide variety of Colorado craft beer. Meet the brewers in a quiet intimate setting. Set in the spacious Riverside Park in Salida, Colorado. This is a major fundraiser for the Colorado Brewers’ Guild and will feature some of the best craft beers in the state. 2013 Salida Colorado Classic Cycling Race
When: July 26-28, 2013
Where: Salida, Colorado
Additional Info: With three days of exciting bike racing in the Arkansas Valley, the Salida Classic is one of Colorado’s premier road racing events. In its 9th year, the race will feature three fast and challenging race courses in and around Salida including a Time Trial, Downtown Criterium, and Road Race. For 2013, the Salida Classic is host of the Colorado State Road Race Championships; is the Rocky Mountain State Games cycling event; and is sanctioned by Bicycle Racing Association of Colorado and USA Cycling.
This is one of the most exciting weekends in Salida during the summer and features many other great events beyond just racing; including mountain biking, rafting, the Salida Farmer’s Market; and many wonderful art galleries and restaurants to explore. The Salida Classic is a perfect weekend for more than just the hard-core racer; bring the whole family down!
The Salida Classic is promoted by South Central Racing/Amicas Cycling Club. We are one of the largest cycling clubs in central Colorado, with over 100 members involved in all things cycling, from trail building and coaching, to bicycle rodeos and fundraising for youth groups. We are grateful for the long standing support of our sponsors and community who have helped to increase awareness of cycling in the Arkansas River Valley.

Contin-tail Rock and Gem Show

Additional Info: A rock collector’s paradise. More than 100 booths. Merchants form all over the coutry gather at the Rodeo Grounds in Buena Vista to sell, swap and show rocks, minerals and gems. Everthing form mineral samples to sculptured art work to fine jewelry.

Salida Riverside Fine Arts Festival

Additional Info: The festival is in a picturesque willow tree filled park with lush green lawns on the banks of the Arkansas River, in the downtown Historic District. Colorful kayakers, rafters and fly fishermen can be seen from the festival site and enhance the mood of the festival. Free – Quality Family Fun!
King Boletus Mushroom Festival
When: August 17 – 18, 2013
Where: American Legion, Buena Vista, Colorado
Additional Info: Classes are given at the American Legion in the morning beginning at 9 am. Lunch included in fee. Groups go out the find mushrooms then discuss the mushrooms that were found later in the day. Wine and cheese reception.
Salida Mountain Wine Festival
